Several upgrade options are standard with the homes we build, and our belief is that our detail in the bidding and billing process are second to none.  Below is a list of some of the custom upgraded features that we include as standard on the homes we build.  For more information on what sets us apart as a builder, see the Home Building Process.

  • 2×6 exterior walls — provides more room for insulation
  • Raised rafter heels — gives more insulation space where the roof meets the exterior wall
  • 2×8 subfacia — leaves a larger facia reveal after the gutters are installed
  • Field-framed roof — offers more options to rooflines, cathedral ceilings, etc.
  • Window stools on trim around windows
  • Skirt trim board on all stairways
  • Backer installed by all windows for window treatments
  • All carpenters are direct staff of Knapp Builders, Inc. — we do not use subcontractors for carpentry labor in order to ensure the highest quality
